Sorø, Denmark, November 16 2018 – Planova, one of the leading commercial furniture manufacturers in the world, announced today the successful completion of a renovation project at the renowned Hotel Copenhagen Crown in Denmark. The renovation task included a complete makeover of the reception area with high quality, customized furniture, designed specifically to complement the ongoing rebranding exercise at the hotel.
Hotel Copenhagen Crown is currently going through an extraordinary transformation- from a basic budget lodging to a luxurious boutique Danish design hotel. One of the key tasks was to renovate the existing reception area by carefully following the new branding guidelines. Planova’s Public Spaces division, formerly known as Bruno Hansen, was responsible for development, production, transport and delivery of the new furniture while JaJa Architects in Copenhagen worked on the design. The new furniture was entirely custom-made and included shelving systems, chairs, wall-mounted dining tables, reception desk, lounge chairs and coffee tables.
“We are proud of our work at the Hotel Copenhagen Crown,” said Ben Baan, Country Manager at Planova. “Our team did a thorough study of the new branding guidelines that the owners and architects had devised and only proceeded to production phase once we had a complete understanding of what our client wanted to achieve. Needless to say, the wonderful staff at the Hotel Copenhagen Crown was very welcoming, provided regular feedback and was very appreciative of the work we had done.”
